Indianapolis SEO Company FAQ | Social Network Promotion | ORGANICA
Q: What is SMM or SMO?

A: Social Media Marketing (SMM) or Social Media Optimization (SMO) is the process of driving social media activity with the intent of attracting unique visitors to website content.

Q: Why do I have to make significant efforts on the promotion of my website?

A: Google has indexed around 1 Trillion blogs as of 2010. You have a tremendous number of competitors vying for the attention of your target market. You have to apply efforts to the promotion of your website so it stands out to your potential customers.

Q: Is it enough to register my website in 1000 web catalogs to have good ranking and traffic?

A: Unfortunately, this is not enough. Web catalogs are the easiest way to register your website using automated tools. However, this easy registration has practically ZERO benefit. Google has critically decreased the number of back links it accepts from web catalogs since they are robotically generated. Catalogs attract minimal attention from human visitors, the very ones you are trying to attract.

Q: What is Organica?

A: Organica is a management system for Social Media Marketing (SMM) and Optimization (SMO). Its purpose is to collect, harvest, query, and calculate data available across the Internet for the promotion of your business. Organica is a marketing tool designed specifically for website promotion. Its main tactic is the creation of rich content and its proper distribution across writable web resources and social media platforms.

Q: Is Organica a SaaS solution?

A: Yes, Organica SaaS is a SaaS solution. This is our software as a service application and it puts your social media marketing in your hands. Organica SaaS is self-driven by a dedicated user of your business. This version of Organica comes with a comprehensive and easy-to-use user interface that helps you manage your Facebook, Twitter, Blogging, and all online interactions with your current and potential customers. Organica Managed Campaigns are not a SaaS service. This is our all-inclusive serviced Organica product. We connect the client with a powerful team of SEO Engineers for the promotion of their website. This service comes with access to a customized user interface with a keyword database, specialized blogging platform, idea catalog, RSS reader, and a robust reports system to track the progress of your online marketing. For your managed campaign, you are also paired with an expert engineer that will manage your entire account for you so all you will see is results.

Q: What benefits come from using Organica for the promotion of my website?

A: We will set up long-living traffic channels to your website using social media optimization and online marketing techniques. Those traffic channels will be driven by permanent content which will not require you to engage in Pay-Per-Click (PPC) campaigns. So your investment has long-term benefits. Organica will also set up a high-quality community around your services using social networks like Twitter and Facebook.

Q: How what are examples of SMM actions?

A: Blog commenting, social bookmarking, Facebook, Twitter, and other social networks are all tools of SMO. We also created mixed tools like Listeners which can measure the social popularity of a given keyword over, for example, Twitter users.

Q: What is a keyword?

A: Keywords are the moving force of any online marketing project. Keywords are just phrases that include up to five words. Typically, these are the short sentences that people use in web searches, for example, when buying a new house, looking for a job, home improvement, etc. We use several values to measure the attractiveness and competitiveness of keywords related to the content of your website. Those values can be retrieved directly from Google, Yahoo, and any other search engines.

Q: What is an Organica Campaign?

A: The Organica Campaign is a specific task you are looking to achieve through a classical scheduling process. You can have several campaigns going on at one time which are created within Organica. Each campaign can have a different set of keywords, dependent on if this is a special promotion or a specific product you are featuring. Therefore, this is a group of similar, simple, independent actions. For example, the blog post commenting campaign includes tasks of placing comments to specialized blog posts.

Q: What are Web 2.0 Listeners?

A: People and content are the two key compounds of our approach to Social Media Marketing. This is not just a one-way road. We have developed an interactive mechanism for the creation of Social Media content around your site. We embed listeners into Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Buzz and other social networks. A listener has the ability to recognize if someone from hundreds of millions of users is posting information that is related to your business. This event will raise a flag and the Organica engineers will immediately communicate with that certain person. We call this "Interactive SMO." The listener is a special module of the Organica application which allows it to run the periodic search over all public forums, posts, blogs, walls and profiles of a given social network.

Q: What is a Target?

A: Target is a simple and independent action. With the result of this action, you will be receiving one or more back links to the designated website from the Web 2.0 clouds.

Q: What is the Content Factory?

A: The Content Factory is a framework for Social Media Marketing where a blog is located under your domain and is used for attracting prospective visitors to your website. The blog reflects news and trends in your industry, not just your own news. This gives you the option to propagate links to interesting and relevant content over Web 2.0 clouds without direct advertisement.

Q: Is it possible that the use of Organica will break my current page-ranking?

A: We are only using white methods of online marketing which don’t conflict with world-class search engines. Google says that "Content is King." We build a Content Factory so there are no conflicts. Theoretically, there are many cases where your page-ranking can be broken. For example, Google can decrease values of coefficients in their formula which are related to the age of your website or to link exchange back links. But none of these cases are related to content and social-driven back links. Our actions can save or increase your high ranking, but they would never cause them to decrease.

Q: If my website has a Google page ranking equal to 0 at the moment, when will it be ranked with PR 2?

A: It depends on your business and industry specifics, your activities as a Business Analyst in the creation of original ideas and content for propagation, the presence of a blog inside your domain, and several other conditions. Average data from our experience indicates that Google PR 2 can be reached within a 3-6 month timeframe with the use of Organica-driven activities.

Q: If my website has a Google page ranking equal to 0 at the moment, when will it be ranked with PR 3?

A: It depends on your business and industry specifics, your activities as a Business Analyst in the creation or original ideas and content for propagation, the presence of a blog inside your domain, and several other conditions. Average data from our experience indicates that Google PR 3 can be reached within an 8-10 month timeframe with the use of Organica-driven activities.

Q: Does Organica include PPC expenses?

A: As of right now, no it does not but we are looking to provide these services in the future. Currently, we use an interactional style of promotion with our Content Factory, keyword forecasting and optimization.
